Summary

Doublehop VPN was probably one o the biggest disappointments we've had with a VPN service. They were unresponsive for several days and their explanation for not activating our account was that they were on vacation. The whole process was shady, activation was not done a week later, we never received a refund and it just seems like a big scam. We recommend staying away from this service for the time being.

We were quite excited when we stumbled upon Doublehop, as it was looking quite interesting and we liked the way they are describing their service on their website. But what seemed to be a breath of fresh air in the VPN industry, turned out to be the worst service we ever wanted to try and we never had a chance to do it.

After about a week from our purchase, we still haven’t received any credentials or configuration files. They claim that order processing takes 3 days, which is bad as it is, but it can be even worse.

The customer support team has been unreachable after several contact attempts via email/Telegram and we have submitted a refund request. Needless to say, it has not been addressed until the time of this review. We can conclude that this service is either a scam or operated by incompetents who don’t care about customers. Even if the team somehow finds it adequate to answer after a week, and we will post an update if that’s the case, it’s wasted time and money for a service we have not received. Be careful when considering your VPN service and stay away from DoubleHop VPN!
